The collaborative efforts of the Federal Forest Working Group to address issues, challenges, and opportunities facing the health of Oregon's federal public forests and that of neighboring human communities has spanned three Oregon governors over more than a decade. The FFWG involved numerous stakeholders who worked collaboratively over the years to implement the recommendations contained in the 2009 Oregon Board of Forestry report, “Achieving Oregon’s Vision for Federal Forestlands.” The conveners from the Governor’s Office for the effort have included Governor Ted Kulongoski, Governor John Kitzhaber and Governor Kate Brown. Stakeholders participating with the FFWG over the years have included - Ann Walker Consulting LLC.
"Finally, I am especially grateful for the participation of the Western Governors’ Association, and, in particular, Ann Walker, Forest & Rangeland Health Program Manager, who attended many meetings, consulted with DFPC staff, and helped organize several of the presentations. Without the assistance of each of these individuals and sponsoring organizations, we could not have met our statutory obligations."

It has been my great pleasure to work with the Governors of the western states and many organizations, agencies, and community members on actions designed to improve forest health and protect communities and resources from wildfire.
It is the highest honor to be rewarded with a testimonial for the work that we do together.
Ann Walker Consulting's contribution is fueling WGA's efforts to support the rural West. On behalf of the Western Governors, thank you for your support and valued partnership. To me, that is an honor of the highest order.
